The n-stride APS injection is used to treat osteoarthritis of the knee. It was developed to provide relief from pain without surgery.
Osteoarthritis is a degenerative condition characterised by inflammation and loss of cartilage lining the joint. So-called “bad proteins” (catabolic pro-inflammatory cytokines) contribute to cartilage breakdown, causing the symptoms to steadily worsen.

Benefits of N-stride
Benefits of N-stride
The benefits of N-stride injections are:
-
- Relief from pain
- Reduction in stiffness and inflammation
- Restored mobility and flexibility
- Improvement in cartilage health
How it works
The N-stride APS injection collect “good proteins” (anti-inflammatory cytokines and anabolic growth factors) from the patient’s own blood.
During a treatment, a small sample of blood is taken and put in a centrifugal device to separate out the good proteins. These are then injected into the site of pain.
Risk factors
You may experience side effects, including: bruising, local pain or swelling. In some cases the osteoarthritis may not improve, or may worsen.
What does N-stride treat?
N-stride injections are effective in the treatment of osteoarthritis. The treatment does not cure osteoarthritis however it can help to manage the symptoms by reducing pain and increasing mobility and comfort.
People normally start to feel a reduction in pain after around a week. The treatment remains effective for around 6-12 months.
Who it helps
The treatment is suitable for patients with mild to moderate knee osteoarthritis.
FAQ’s
How does N-Stride work?
Injecting the knee with high concentrations of “good proteins” extracted from the patient’s own blood helps to block cartilage destruction in the joint. This produces a reduction in pain and an improvement in mobility. Ongoing cartilage destruction may be slowed.
What is N-stride made from?
N-stride uses the patient’s own blood, which is processed to concentrate white blood cells, platelets and plasma proteins.
Is everyone suitable for treatment?
N-stride has been shown to be most effective in people with mild to moderate osteoarthritis of the knee.
Personal outcomes – what to expect
Each year, N-stride therapy enables thousands of patients to enjoy an active life, free of chronic knee pain.
